THE RETURN

The last edition took place in 1958. After 46 years of silence, Francesco Amante, an entrepreneur from Bologna and also a big fan of historical motor sports for many years, brought the race back in 2004 to Bologna-San Luca, which made the public and the competitors enthusiastic.

The winner was Mauro Argenti, with his Porsche 914/6, out of more than fifty fierce rivals.

The race was nicknamed “the little Montecarlo” and its motto was “2 Km mozzafiato, da correre tutta d’un fiato, solo per gli audaci…” (2 breathtaking km, run breathlessly, only for the most ambitious) because of the short time needed to reach Colle della Guardia.
